TIAJA Labrador Retrievers

My name is Julie Wallace and I am married to John , between us we have four grown up children. We live on the beautiful Dorset coast in the town of Poole, where we are very lucky to live on the edge of miles of heathland to walk our dogs, in which they enjoy very much especially the water and muddy puddles. We also have the beach not too far away. Labradors have been a big part of my life, growing up with them as a child. Our dogs live with us in the house and they are very much a part of our family.
My first yellow Labrador I bought was in 1985 and called Max, sadly he had to be put to sleep at the age of 11 years old. Ten years later I decided to look for another yellow Labrador which we found not to far away, and we named him Jake and he is the most loving dog I have ever come across. Fifteen months later I decided to buy Jake a play mate so we rang the Kennel club and they put me in touch with a breeder in Poole called Poolebar Labradors, who have been involved in Labradors for a very long time, I went round and I bought a yellow bitch who we named Tia and now Poolebar are very good friends of mine.
I started taking Tia along to some local dog shows, and that’s when I got the showing bug, and I went out to look for a show Labrador. I came across Richbourne Labradors who have been showing Labradors since 1960, and that’s where I bought my second Yellow bitch from called Roxy.
Roxy is doing very well in the show ring and I am still having a lot of fun with her. We love every day with our dogs and wouldn’t be without them.
My affix TIAJA which is my kennel name was granted to me in 2009, which is the name’s of my two eldest Labradors Tia and Jake.
